Profiles and parental controls

Updated 16 September 2026

A profile each, a kids profile that stays clean, and locks that hold on every device.

Profiles

Each profile keeps its own watch history, favourites, lists and preferences. Switching profile switches all of it.

You can also choose which sources and which content appear per profile, useful when one provider is for the football and another is for the children.

Locking a profile

Give a profile a PIN and it cannot be opened without it. Then:

  • On iPhone and iPad, unlock with Face ID or Touch ID instead of typing.
  • On Apple TV, approve the unlock from your iPhone rather than tapping a PIN into a remote.
  • Repeated wrong PINs slow down before the next attempt.

A kids profile

Mark a profile as a kids profile and adult categories are hidden from it, in browsing, in search, and in what can be played.

This is a property of the profile, not of the device. A kids profile is a kids profile on the TV, the tablet and the phone, because a control that only holds on the device you set it up on is not a control at all.

Changing it back

Parental settings are changed from an unlocked adult profile. If you have forgotten every PIN on the account, contact support. We will not read a PIN back to you, but we can walk you through resetting the profile.

Did this not solve it?

Tell us what you tried. Settings → Support in the app sends sanitised diagnostics along with your message, no credentials, no stream links.
