What we collect
Account identity
If you create an AnyTV account, we store the email address you signed in with, so we can recognise the account and send you a sign-in code. Sign-in is by emailed code or by passkey; there is no password to store. If you never sign in, no account exists and none of this is collected.
Passkeys are held by your device and your platform, not by us. We store only the public credential needed to verify one.
Encrypted library sync data
When sync is enabled, your library is backed up so it can follow you across devices: playlists, watch progress, favourites, settings, and profiles with their avatars. These payloads are encrypted on your device before upload, we store them so your devices can restore them, not so we can read them.
Channel and title names are stored so a library can be rebuilt on a new device. Stream links are not.
Device registrations
Each device you connect is registered to your account so sync knows where to deliver updates and so you can review and revoke devices.
Purchase and entitlement records
If you subscribe, we receive purchase and entitlement records from Google Play or the App Store to know that your subscription is active. Billing itself is handled entirely by the stores, we never see your payment details.
Anonymous catalog corrections
To improve how titles are matched to artwork and metadata, the app can contribute crowd catalog corrections. These are keyed by a salted device hash and contain no account identity.
Anonymous analytics
We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand what works and what breaks. Analytics data is retained for 90 days and then deleted.
How it's stored
Our services run on Cloudflare infrastructure. Library sync payloads are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded (client-side encryption), so the stored library data is not readable by us.
What we don't do
- No ads. There is no advertising in AnyTV and no advertising identifiers are used.
- No selling data. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- No tracking across apps. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account, and with it your sign-in identity, sync backups, profiles, devices, and email records, at any time, either in the app or on the web. Deletion executes after a 7-day grace period during which you can change your mind by signing back in.
Store purchase ledger entries required for fraud prevention and legal compliance are retained after deletion, with all identity linkage removed. Anonymous analytics expire on their own after 90 days.
See Delete your AnyTV account for the full walkthrough.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can exercise these rights directly:
- Deletion. Delete your account and its data in the app or on the web. See how deletion works. Requests complete within 30 days.
- Correction. Your profile details are editable in the app; anything else, write to us.
- Access. Most of what we hold for you is visible in your account at https://me.anytvapp.com, your devices, sources, family members and security activity. For a copy of anything the portal does not show, email us and we will provide it.
If you are in a region with specific privacy laws (such as the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), these tools are how we honour those rights. For anything they don't cover, email us and we will respond within the timelines your local law sets.
