Personal vs Family

Updated 16 September 2026

Family is not "more devices": it is 6 separate accounts that share one plan.

Personal is one member with 10 devices.

Family is up to 6 members, each with their own 10 devices, 30 in total.

The distinction that matters: a Family member is not a profile on your account. They have their own AnyTV account, their own sign-in, their own sources and their own watch history. They share your plan, not your library.

Inviting someone

From the Family tab, as the organiser:

  1. Choose Invite member.
  2. Send them the one-time code. It expires after 15 minutes.
  3. They enter it in the Family tab of their own account.

Pending invitations count towards the 6-member limit, so an unredeemed code holds a place until it expires.

A member joining can bring up to 10 devices they already had with them.

Removing someone

Removing a member immediately revokes their devices, and those slots go into the usual 7-day cooldown.

If you bought Family on Apple

Apple runs family sharing for App Store purchases, so AnyTV does not offer its own invitations on an Apple family plan, a second list would compete with Apple's. See Use one purchase on Apple and Android.
