Favourites, My Lists and sorting
Updated 16 September 2026
Three different tools that people often try to use for each other's jobs.
Favourites
The things you come back to. Favourite a channel, a film or a show and it surfaces first. Favourites are per profile, so yours and everyone else's do not mix.
My Lists
Collections you build and name, a watchlist, "films for Friday", "kids' shows that are actually good". A list holds one kind of thing, keeps the order you put items in, and is per profile.
If a source disappears, items pointing at it stay in the list and are marked as needing a new source rather than vanishing.
Sorting
The default order for Live TV, Movies and TV Shows, by name, by date added, by rating, or in the order the playlist supplies. Sorting is a preference; it does not move anything.
Sorting is not the same as manual category order, which is in Manage Categories. Sorting decides how items within a view are arranged; category order decides which sections you see first.
All three sync
Change any of them anywhere and your other devices follow on their next sync.
