Add a custom EPG

Override your provider's guide with your own XMLTV file, and fix channels the guide does not line up with.
AnyTV reads guide data in XMLTV format. By default it uses whatever guide your provider supplies, which is usually correct. You would override that when the provider's guide is thin, wrong for your region, or missing entirely.
Adding one
- Open Settings → Sources, or Sources in your account.
- Edit the source the guide belongs to.
- Put your XMLTV URL in EPG / XMLTV URL and save.
- Reload content on the device, or wait for the next refresh.
The URL should return XMLTV, compressed or not. A guide that arrives as a .xml.gz is fine.
When channels and guide entries do not line up
An XMLTV file identifies each channel by a tvg-id. Your playlist has its own ids, and the two only match if the provider and the guide agree, which they frequently do not. Where they disagree you get a channel with no programmes beside it while a programme list sits unused.
AnyTV lets you match a channel to the right guide entry by hand. Open the channel, choose the guide source, and pick the correct entry; the match is remembered and syncs to your other devices.
One guide, several playlists
Each source carries its own EPG setting, so you can give one provider a custom guide and leave another on its own.
