Getting started

What AnyTV is, and what it is not

Updated 16 September 2026

A player for media you already have, and deliberately not a content service.

AnyTV is a player. It reads the sources you give it, works out what is in them, and presents the result as a library worth browsing: a real programme guide for live channels, posters and cast and episode lists for films and shows, downloads for when you have no signal, and your place kept across every screen you own.

What it does not do

AnyTV does not host, sell, bundle or index any media. There is no catalogue inside the app waiting to be unlocked, and no amount of upgrading reveals one. If you have not added a source, AnyTV has nothing to show you.

That means we also cannot help you find a provider, fix a provider's dead channel, or restore content a provider has removed. Those all sit on the other side of a line the app never crosses.

What you need

One of the following, which you already have or already pay for:

  • an M3U / M3U8 playlist link, or a playlist file
  • an Xtream Codes login, server, username, password
  • a Stalker portal, address, MAC and time zone
  • a Plex, Emby or Jellyfin server
  • a network share over SMB, DLNA/UPnP, WebDAV, FTP or SFTP

You can connect Trakt as well, so what you watch here lands in your Trakt history.

Add it once and every device on your account picks it up.

Did this not solve it?

Tell us what you tried. Settings → Support in the app sends sanitised diagnostics along with your message, no credentials, no stream links.
