Downloads and offline viewing

Download a film or episode and it plays with no connection at all.

Downloading

• Choose the quality before you start.
• Bulk download a season in one action.
• Season Pass: new episodes download automatically as they appear in your source.
• The queue is yours to reorder; move something to the front when you are about to leave.

While it runs

• Wi-Fi only or cellular is your choice, per download or as a default.
• Downloads are battery-aware and resume automatically after an interruption.
• On iPhone, a Live Activity shows progress, speed and time remaining on the Lock Screen.

Managing what you have

Downloads are protected against accidental deletion, storage use is shown so you can see what is taking room, and files can be exported to the Files app.

What syncs

The list of what you downloaded syncs to your other devices; the video files do not. A film downloaded on your iPad is not magically on your iPhone, download it there too.

If a download will not start

Check free space first; then check that the source still offers the title. A download is a normal request to your provider's server and is subject to the same limits as playback.
