TiviMate is the benchmark on Android TV and Fire TV, and deservedly so. It is also the narrowest comparison here, because it does not exist on Apple platforms at all.
TiviMate is a channel-first player built for a remote control, and it is excellent at that. AnyTV is content-first: films and shows get artwork, cast and episode guides, media servers and shares are sources in their own right, and the same account runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac and Android. If every screen in your house runs Android TV and you only watch live channels, TiviMate is a reasonable answer. If there is an iPhone or an Apple TV anywhere in the house, it cannot be.
